Smitten is the exclusive retailer of custom veils and headpieces by local Chicago designer Erin Lindsay Janish. Erin, a life long artist, began cultivating her love of the millinary arts while pursuing a degree from the Chicago Institute of Art.
In her own words "I have always fancied myself an artist; even when my canvas was a modest notebook of lined paper, my medium a 96 count box of crayons, and my workshop the front porch of my house in Royal Oak, Michigan. The uninhibited freedom of expression that came through in those small masterpieces is something I still strive to maintain. It is reflected in my artwork, whether it is handmade gifts for friends and family, the stories I tell through my clothing designs, or the whimsical hats I love to create."
